It is Easier to Wear a Pair of Shoes Than to try to Flatten all the Rough Ground

Forgiveness and loving kindness will serve you well along your spiritual path. Forgiveness and loving kindness must be balanced with personal self-respect and taking care of your needs and your own growth. As I shared with a friend who reached out to me for help recently, she was exhausted trying to help others in need. She was so exhausted that she could no longer help herself and was mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually depleted. When I scanned her energy field, her solar plexus chakras (front and back) were both congested and depleted, (congested with worry and depleted of healthy energy).
She was at a crossroad. She desperately wanted to help those in need, yet she gave everything she had…. even her reserves, and was almost ready to end it all. I have such deep respect for this person because she did not let her pride, or her ego get in the way of asking for help. It takes courage to ask for help.
When our front and back solar plexus is unhealthy, our ability to handle crisis is almost impossible because we have neglected taking care of ourselves. Everything needs to be recharged, or it loses its ability to function. We always remember to recharge our cell phones, our laptops, and even our hearing aids. However, we often neglect to recharge ourselves.
It is vital to live a balanced life.

Please know that putting our needs ahead of others is not selfish but pure survival. Even in an airplane, if the oxygen masks come down, we are instructed to first place the mask over our own nose and mouth, then we can help others. This is not selfish, it is wisdom.
Here is a sacred truth about the solar plexus chakras: Honor Oneself. Not in a selfish way, but in a way that shows the body and the mind that you respect yourself, you understand yourself, and you know how to take care of yourself. When your solar plexus is clean, healthy, and energized, you can climb the highest mountains and swim the deepest seas to help others.
Self- Examination: Questions that deal with the solar plexus chakars provided by (Carolyn Myss, and Master Stephen Co, two of my beloved mentors)
Do you like yourself? What don’t you like and why?
Are you actively working to change the things about yourself that you do not like?
Are you honest?
Do you sometimes misrepresent the truth? Why?
Are you critical of others? Are you overly critical of yourself?
Do you blame others as a way of protecting yourself?
Helpful Tips for maintaining a healthy solar plexus:
